Christopher Hoffee is a multi-medium artist based in San Diego, California, whose work explores the vanishing-point of reality and abstract intervention. With a career as a world-touring musical artist, producer, and engineer spanning over three decades, Hoffee’s approach to visual art is deeply rhythmic and textural. Much like his work in the recording studio—where raw sound is layered, filtered, and distorted to find its emotional core—his visual process is similar.

What began 15 years ago as a means to document life on the road has evolved into a sophisticated practice of Photo-Based Mixed Media. Hoffee utilizes multiple exposures, glass, prisms, and heavy digital manipulation as a digital "remix," followed by physical painting to add tactile depth.

His work moves beyond the traditional lens, seeking to deconstruct the "documentarian style" of a photograph to uncover a more atmospheric, subjective narrative. Whether on tour or working in his studio, Hoffee remains focused on the same fundamental pursuit: "To create the future of what you want to see..."
